Walmart & Target Black Friday Toy Deals 2026: Live Updates
Walmart and Target run the two most toy-focused Black Friday events in retail — and they compete with each other on price week by week, which is exactly why this page tracks both together. A toy on "sale" at one store is often cheaper at the other on the same day.
How this page works: every week from now through Cyber Monday we add deals that pass our checks — genuine discounts on toys we'd recommend anyway — and note which store is currently winning on price. Deal blocks get filled in as prices go live.
The Walmart & Target deal calendar
| When | What typically happens | Your move |
|---|---|---|
| Early–mid November | Both retailers open early savings events (Walmart's early access deals; Target's pre-holiday savings and Circle member offers) | Compare the same toy at both before buying either — the gap is often 20–30% |
| Early November | Target's Circle Week-style member savings events typically land — free to join, adds percent-off on top of sale prices | Join the free loyalty programs NOW (Target Circle, Walmart+) so you're eligible when events hit |
| Nov 23–30 | Black Friday + Cyber Monday — deepest discounts, both online and in-store doorbusters | The big haul; check stock early on the hot list |
| Dec 1–14 | Post-BF promos and shipping deadlines | Last safe orders for standard shipping — deadlines guide here |
This week's picks — and which store wins
Each deal block gets filled in when a deal passes the checks. The "current best" line tells you which retailer to buy from — until it changes, which it will.

Walmart vs. Target: how to shop each one
Walmart's edge: aggressive rollback pricing on the big toy brands, and the strongest price competition with Amazon. Watch the seller line online — marketplace listings multiply during sale weeks.
Target's edge: the loyalty stack. Target Circle (free) layers member offers on top of sale prices, and Target's toy catalog skews curated — strong on games, puzzles and the gift-worthy stuff. Target's own guide-worthy brands rarely price-match at Walmart.
The move that works for both: make your list from our Top 10 hot list, check the toy at both stores (plus Amazon) on the day you buy, and let the retailer lose the price war, not you.
Deal-or-no-deal checks specific to these two
- Doorbusters are online too now — most in-store Black Friday doorbusters appear online the same morning. No camp-out required.
- Watch "online only" vs. "in store" pricing — they differ at both retailers during BF week; the site usually flags it, but check before ordering for pickup.
- Cart prices can move. At both stores, a deal showing in search sometimes prices differently in the cart or app — verify the price in the cart before checkout.
- Extension cords of fine print: "with card" or "with membership" discounts are real savings but add a step — only stack them if you'd hold the card anyway.
